What places could you visit with Temba Lama during retreat time
Day 1 Pashupatinath:
This is a famous and sacred Hindu temple complex. Cremation of Hindus take place on raised platforms along the baghmati river. Pashupatinath Temple is one of the 8 UNESCO Cultural Heritage Sites of the Kathmandu Valley.
Day 2 Swayambu – monkey temple:
This is an ancient religious architecture atop a hill in the Kathmandu Valley, west of Kathmandu city. it is probably the most sacred among Buddhist pilgrimage katsites. (Wikipedia dec 2018)
Day 3 Patan:
This historical city of Patan is separated from Kathmandu by the holy river that flows through Pashupatinath, Bagmati and is the second largest town in the valley. It is sometimes referred to as Lalitpur, which means “city of Beauty”. Patan has a long Buddhist history and the four corners of the city are marked by stupas said to have been erected by the great Buddhist emperor Ashoka. Patan’s Durbar Square is well packed with temples giving
an architectural feast with a far greater concentration of temples per square meter.
Day 4 Tibetan Doctor:
The Tibetan Medical system is one of the world’s oldest known Medical tradition dating back to such ancient
treatments. You will receive a conference about Tibetan Medicine and your own private consultation.
If you wish to visit this place near Kathmandu give to yourself 1 or 2 days extra
it is considered one of the most scenic spots in Bhaktapur District. It is known for a sunrise view of the Himalayas including Mount Everest as well as other peaks of the Himalayan range of eastern Nepal.
Nagarkot also offers a panoramic view of the Kathmandu Valley. The scenic beauty of the place makes it a very popular hiking route for tourists. It is located approximately 7000 ft (2000 m) above sea level and 28 km from Kathmandu International Airport.
